Insurance/Rates
Pinnacle PT and Wellness does not participate with any insurance plans. This allows me to deliver the highest possible level of care to my patients. I am not restricted by insurance rules that often limit the quality of care in the healthcare field. Patients do receive invoices which they can submit for reimbursement depending on their plan. I am considered an out of network provider.
Pinnacle PT and Wellness is not a Participating Medicare Provider. I can provide Physical Therapy for Medicare beneficiaries as patients only when the patient does not want Medicare billed for any Physical Therapy services. If you do want to use your Medicare benefits for Physical Therapy, I cannot provide you with treatment but can aid in finding you a good Medicare provider in your area.
Please contact Kristen Rommel for current rates.
FAQ
How do I get started?
After you request an appointment via phone or email we will schedule a time for your first visit. You would fill out the “New Patient Forms” prior to your visit. The first visit would be a thorough evaluation from which a plan of care would be derived along with initial treatment. Each visit is 1 hour.
What is the Wellness part of your company name?
It is always best to prevent injuries and stay healthy. We offer injury prevention programs and fitness training. Just as you have annual checkups with a dentist or doctor, you could be assessed by a Physical Therapist yearly to address any deficits which could lead to injury or pain.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No. Maryland is a direct access state so you can see a physical therapist without a prescription from a physician. However, some insurance companies require a referral from a physician for reimbursement if you are planning to submit invoices to insurance.
Do I need to have any equipment at home?
No. If you have any equipment that is great but not needed. A table, bands, light weights, or other small equipment will be brought to you if needed.
What precautions are being made during the COVID pandemic?
Masks are worn and equipment used is thoroughly cleaned.

Testimonials
I had the good fortune to meet Kristen Rommel as a patient at the Summit physical therapy clinic. When she advised that she was branching out on her own, I became one of her first new clients. She has helped me once or twice a week for most of 2022 and I am looking forward to having her help me throughout 2023. Kristen’s knowledge of the world of muscles, nerves, tendons, and fascia is immense. I feel like I am transparent, and she can just see where my pain and discomfort originate. She has the touch and the strength to cure my formerly chronic back, neck, and leg problems. The results are miraculous. Even more valuable to me, however, is her guidance on creating and maintaining muscle tone, balance, and endurance. She is an encouraging coach who has taught me what to do and how to use exercise machines to benefit my strength, posture, and well-being. I am 80 and I have never exercised but, thanks to Kristen, I now work out to some degree every day. I have learned to enjoy the process as well as the results. I am one of Kristen’s most enthusiastic fans.
